The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America will be hosting a free, virtual Alzheimer’s educational conference for Wisconsin residents on August 20th as part of our National Educating America Tour. Due to COVID-19, everything is now being done virtually. In fact, some of the topics that will be discussed are directly related to keeping people safe and healthy in the midst of COVID-19.
The conference is designed to educate people in the community, particularly caregivers, and to provide valuable information and resources. Attendees will learn caregiver strategies, and get valuable information on the state of Alzheimer’s, brain health and wellness, long-term care planning, powers of attorney, preventing cognitive decline, combating isolation, and more. There will also be a special guest appearance by TV’s Dr. Oz, who will talk about his experiences with his mother who is living with Alzheimer’s disease.
This event will be very valuable to hundreds of thousands of people in Wisconsin. In fact, there are more than 120,000 people in Wisconsin living with Alzheimer’s disease.
This FREE educational conference will be held virtually over the Internet and is open to everyone. For more information or to register call 866-232-8484.
